Education and the Future.

So in an effort to become a "real" writer and get out of the corporate/call center drudgery I've found myself in for the last 4 years or so, I've taken on the task of going back for my bachelor's degree in creative writing at the prestigious Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I'm somewhere between a sophmore and junior at this point, and existential crisis' aside, am hoping to parlay my degree into a career in writing or editing. A lot has changed since my last time round in higher education, primarily in the fields of literature and writing. Blogging is now taught in a schools as E-Writing, and I've done several projects and assignments for my lit classes on comic books. This gives me hope that I can finally take my passions and interests an hopefully make a fulfilling career out of them. If nothing else I'll at least have the tools to pursue my passions in such a way that my day to day work is more tolerable due to having something else to fulfill my creative needs. From time to time I'll post some of my more creative works and other endeavors on the sight for public review. As always feel free to comment.
